Account Manager, up to 33k


Reporting to the Advertising Manager this is a client facing role focused on selling display, advertorials, composites, coupons and creative solutions into Sainsbury’s Magazine, and Sainsbury’s Magazine social platforms within an allocated patch.

Key responsibilities

  • To be personally responsible for generating maximum revenue across Sainsbury’s Magazine, and Sainsbury’s Magazine social platforms
  • To pro-actively sell to existing and potential advertisers within allocated territories/ client base
  • To work in a collegiate manner with other members of the Sainsbury’s portfolio team and department to reach mutual goals
  • To hit, and aim to exceed, pagination and revenue targets for each issue
  • To ensure that all options and bookings are kept up to date with accurate pagination and revenue data and that closing deadlines are met

We’d love you to have the following skills and experience:

  • Selling to clients direct
  • Understanding of FMCG marketplace
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Ability to sell cross- platform advertising opportunities
  • Self-starter, with good organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills with ability to build good working relationships with ad sales colleagues, editorial and publishing teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Kantar, Pamco and other relevant media sales tools

Hours and Location

We have successfully implemented a hybrid model of home/office working which aims to retain the best bits of remote working while welcoming back the social and creative interaction needed for employee happiness and business success. The focus is more on output and a cohesive culture and less on physical location. Employees work on average 2 days from our new office space FORA Clerkenwell, and 3 days from home but there is total trust in individuals and teams to flex this blend of home/office working to create the optimal work life balance while getting the work done in the best way.

Our core hours are 9.30-5.30 Monday to Friday. This role is advertised as a full-time role but please talk to us about part-time hours if this is your preference.
